What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Addison Publications only collects personal data when you specifically provide it, and we protect the information we receive. With your consent we may gather personal information from you through sales and sales enquiries. We do not share your information with third parties without your consent. We do not collect sensitive personal information.

When you make a purchase from Addison Publications, we will ask you to provide information such as your name, postal address, email address and contact telephone number. This is for the purpose of completing your order. We will retain information relating to sales history unless you request otherwise. If you have previously been in touch with Addison Publications, we may let you know about new publications or events, using contact details that you have provided.  If you do not wish to receive some or all communications from us, please let us know.

Addison keeps an industry database of organisations and individuals that have indicated an interest in staying in touch with us. The database is used with the expectation that continued communication is welcome and relevant. Any person or organisation has the right to be removed from this database at any time, or to ask to view, amend or update their information.

Our contact forms ask for information that will be used for Addison Publications customer service purposes only. We do not share your information with third parties without your consent.

Our website uses cookies and Google analytics to facilitate your visit and help us track website traffic. These functions do not collect personal data. Browsers can be set to alert you to the use of cookies, and also to refuse them.  Data collected by Google analytics concerns page visits and helps us develop the site. This data can be provided or deleted on request.

Personal data is not collected by our website, but for your interest we may provide links to other websites and they will operate under the terms of their own privacy policies.

Who we share your data with

Addison Publication does not sell data.

Personal information is stored and used only by the Addison Publications office, unless there is a legal requirement to share information.

Credit and debit card payments are processed using GlobalPay and their privacy policy can be found here. Payment transactions are processed using bank details provided by you which are stored only with your agreement.

Storing data and your rights

Customer purchase records are kept by Addison Publications for six years after a final transaction unless requested otherwise. This is to ensure good continuing customer service.

You have the right at any time to ask to view, update, amend or remove any personal data kept by Addison Publications. Please contact us as above and we will act on your request immediately. Please note we may be obliged to keep some data for administrative, legal or security purposes.
